ConsultationsThe Instructional Resource Center is here to try and meet your needs in using technology for learning and for accomplishing the educational mission of the University. Walking into the IRC Lab, you will first encounter our Lab Assistants, who are trained, ready and willing to try and help identify your needs, help you learn appropriate skills, and connect you to essential resources. Our staff of Faculty Support Specialists provide an important second tier of support, and is available for a variety of consultations. Faculty, staff and teaching assistants may seek one-on-one or small group consultations on a variety of issues, including: Instructional Design and TechnologyMeet with IRC's Faculty Support Specialists to discuss some or all of the following:
Teaching in Technology-enriched EnvironmentsMeet with a member of the IRC staff to prepare to use technology in a regular classroom, or to enhance your knowledge and skill in using our Electronic and Smart classroom environments. New media technologies, control panels, interactive strategies, networking challenges and lessons learned are all part of consultations in this area. Developing and Implementing Grant-Based Learning ProjectsIndividuals interested in applying for technology support grants can gain valuable information about directions and possibilities, and individuals who are already recipients of grants can gain breadth and depth of relevant knowledge by working closely with staff from the IRC. |
