The Collaborative Learning Hub (CLUB) is here to meet your needs in using technology for learning and for accomplishing the educational mission of the University. Walking into the CLUB, you will first encounter our Lab Assistants, who are trained, ready and willing to try and help identify your needs, help you learn appropriate skills, and connect you to essential resources.

Instructional Designers and Technologists provide an important second tier of support, and are available for a variety of consultations. Faculty, staff and students may seek one-on-one or small group consultations on a variety of issues, including:

Instructional Design and Technology

Meet one-on-one with the Instructional Designers and Technologists to discuss the following:

• Putting your course online
• Adding instructional activities to your course
• Using and designing a course in Blackboard
• Creating and deepening learning experiences with digital imaging technologies
• Planning and designing departmental and professional websites
• Introducing the use of communication technologies in your courses
• Using plagiarism, bibliography and other software tools
• Constructing learning modules for technology assignments

Teaching in Technology-enriched Environments

Meet one-on-one with the Instructional Designers and Technologists to prepare to use technology in a regular classroom, or to enhance your knowledge and skill in using our Electronic and Smart classroom environments. New media technologies, control panels, interactive strategies, networking challenges and lessons learned are all part of consultations in this area.

Designing and Developing Instructional Research Projects

Meet one-on-one with the Instructional Designers and Technologists to collaborate on instructional research projects. Those who are currently working on research projects can gain breadth and depth of relevant knowledge.
