The Instructional Resource Center follows guidelines and policies established by the University, with particular attention to the Responsible Use of Computing Policy (see Policy #1301 for further details). Specific policies about lab use are as follows: Who may use the labThe lab is open to teaching faculty, instructional support staff, and academic units seeking to improve instruction. University students may not use the lab unless they have a notice from a faculty member stating that they are working on a faculty project. Technology Assistants Program (TAP) students and Technology Across the Curriculum (TAC) graduate teaching assistants may use the lab without a note. ReservationsFaculty may use the lab on a walk-in or reservation basis. However, if you "walked-in" and someone arrives who has a reservation to use the equipment you are working on, you will be asked to move. To make a reservation, call the IRC Lab Manager, James Ouellette, at x3-4766 or email him at jouellet@gmu.edu. If you do not know how to use the equipment you are making a reservation for, please mention that so we can make sure a lab assistant familiar with that equipment will be available to help you.
