The Capitol Connection is a Telecommunication service of The George Mason University Instructional Foundation, a non-profit corporation organized for the purpose of supporting the educational and cultural activities of George Mason University.
The Capitol Connection offers wireless cable TV, live Internet streaming and phone bridge connections to government meetings in Washington, DC..
The Capitol Connection's wireless cable TV services allows Washington Insiders to follow gavel-to-gavel coverage of Congress, Federal Commission meetings, Wall Street and breaking national and international news reports.
TV services are offered through a specialized antenna system installed in office buildings throughout the metropolitan area.
For those outside DC metro area, live video streaming on the Internet and phone bridge connections provide access to the same government meetings. |

Videoconferencing is an interactive connection between two or more sites that transmit video, audio and graphics. Videoconferencing is used for distance education and for faculty/staff meetings at George Mason University on all three campuses. Unlike streaming or broadcast television, both sides of the conference can see and hear each other in real-time. |
