How to Burn CDs

To copy a music CD | To copy a data CD | To copy CD to CD

 

TO COPY A MUSIC CD

1) Open Adaptec Easy CD Creator by clicking on (Start>Programs>Roxio Easy CD Creator 5>Project Selector).

 

2) Mouse over "make a music CD" (as shown above, left).

3) Click "music CD project" (as shown above, right).

4) Insert Music CD in the Reader drive. *an autoplay screen may appear, if so see below.

5) Insert blank CD in the Writer drive. *an autoplay screen may appear, if so see below.

6) "DRAG AND DROP" (by holding down the left mouse button) musical tracks from the original CD (top window) to the bottom window.

*Note: You can do multiple selections by holding down the CTRL-Select or SHIFT-Select.
*Note: You can record any combination of tracks, WAV, or MP3 files to an Audio CD.

*Note: You can also select files and click add, instead of "DRAG AND DROP" to add files to the project (shown below).

7) To copy different sound formats, select the source (directory/folder) containing the musics files from the drop down menu on the top left corner, and go back to step 6.

*Note: Easy CD Creator will automatically convert mp3/wav files into an Audio format that can be read by CD Players.

8) Once you are ready to copy, click "Record" and a window should open up.

Select Options to see more burning options.

10) Select the appropriate option for CD creation and select OK. A Record CD Progress window should come up.

*Note: If you are unsure of the appropriate options, select "Record CD" and "Finalize CD" as seen above.

11) Once CD copying process is complete you will see the message "CD created successfully."

TO COPY A DATA CD

1) Open Adaptec Easy CD Creator by clicking on (Start>Programs>Roxio Easy CD Creator 5>Project Selector)

2) Mouse over "make a data CD" (as shown above, left).

3) Click "data CD project" (as shown above, right).

3) Insert "blank" CD in the Writer drive. *an autoplay screen may appear, if so see below.

4) Select the a "source" for copying in the top-left pull-down menu.

*Note: You can do multiple selections by holding down the CTRL-Select or SHIFT-Select.

5)"DRAG AND DROP" (by holding down the left mouse button) from the source (top window) to the destination (bottom window).

*Note: You can also select files and click add, instead of "DRAG AND DROP" to add files to the project.

6) Once you are ready to copy data files, select "Record" and a window should open up.

8) Select the appropriate option for CD creation and select OK. A window below should come up.

*Note: If you are unsure of the appropriate options, select "Record CD" and "Finalize CD" as seen above.

9) Once CD copying process is complete you will see the message "CD created successfully."

TO COPY A CD...

1) Open Adaptec Easy CD Creator by clicking on (Start>Programs>Roxio Easy CD Creator 5>Project Selector)

2) Mouse over "disc copier" (as shown above, left).

3) Click on "disc copier" (as shown above, right).

4) Insert the original CD (source disk) to the Reader drive. *an autoplay screen may appear, if so see below.

5) Insert the blank CD into the Writer drive. *an autoplay screen may appear, if so see below.

6) Select "Copy" once the red texts turn green.

6) Once CD copying process is complete you will see the message "CD created successfully."

 


*AUTOPLAY



*Note:
If an autoplay window appear click cancel.
