Cropping
an Image in a Word Document
- Click on the image to select it and the Picture
toolbar will automatically display.

- Click on the image so sizing handles (square
shapes) appear in the corners and along each side.
- Select the Crop tool from the Picture toolbar.

NOTE: You will use the
Crop tool to remove the parts of the image that
you DO NOT want to keep.
- Place the Crop tool on the sizing handle where
you want to crop the image.

- Press and hold down the LEFT mouse button.

NOTE: The Crop tool changes to a “T” shape.
- Drag the Crop tool until the portion of the
image you want to remove is outside the dotted lines.
- Release
the LEFT mouse button to crop the image.

NOTE: Repeat these
steps as necessary to remove other parts of the
image.
