Cropping an Image in a Word Document

 

 

  1. Click on the image to select it and the Picture toolbar will automatically display.

 



  1. Click on the image so sizing handles (square shapes) appear in the corners and along each side.

  2. Select the Crop tool from the Picture toolbar.

 

 

NOTE: You will use the Crop tool to remove the parts of the image that

              you DO NOT want to keep.

 

  1. Place the Crop tool on the sizing handle where you want to crop the image.

 




  1. Press and hold down the LEFT mouse button.



NOTE: The Crop tool changes to a “T” shape.

 

  1. Drag the Crop tool until the portion of the image you want to remove is outside the dotted lines.

  2.  Release the LEFT mouse button to crop the image.

 

 

 

NOTE: Repeat these steps as necessary to remove other parts of the
image.
