Using the Table Feature in Word to Place Images Side-by-Side

 

 

  1. Click on Table > Insert > Table.

 

 

 

  1. Enter 2  for the “Number of  columns,” and enter 1  for the “Number of rows.”

 

 

  1. Click in the button next to “Fixed Column Width.”

 

  1. Click on “OK.”

 

  1. Click inside one of the boxes (called “cells”).

 

 

  1. Click on Insert > Picture > From File.

 

 

  1. Click the drop-down arrow next to the “Look-in” box and go to the drive and directory where the image file is stored.

 

 


  1. Click on the file name and then click on the “Insert” button.

 

 

  1. The image will appear in the cell.

 

  1. Repeat steps 5 – 8 to insert an image into the second cell.
