Image Capture using Sony Digital Camera

 

Step 1:  Equipment Check

·        Verify that you have all necessary equipment listed below:

 


·        Make sure the batteries and memory stick are in place.

 

 

 

Step 2:  Setup

·        Turn on the camera by pressing power button unit.

·        Set the camera to capture mode by turning the dial on the rear of the unit to the camera icon.

 

 

 

Step 3:  Snap

·        Snap the picture by pressing the large button located on the top of the unit.


Step 4:  Preview

To preview the last picture you snapped press the left arrow button located on the rear of the unit.

·        To preview all the pictures on the memory stick set the camera to preview mode by turning the dial to the play icon.

 

·        While in preview mode you can delete a picture by pressing the delete button on the rear of the unit with the trash can icon, up arrow and then press enter.

 

 

Step 5:  Download

·        After you finish taking pictures connect the camera to the computer via the USB cord (Power should remain on). The LCD screen on the back of the camera should turn blue and state USB Mode.

·        Once Windows recognizes the camera a screen should pop up asking you how to handle the new input.

·        To view your files you can either select “Open folder to view files” on that screen or go to Desktop>My Computer>”Sony Memory Stick removable drive.” Then double click the DCIM folder. There will a folder containing your files in the DCIM folder. To view partial contents of these folders Right Click > View > Thumbnails.
